Portable Doppler Flow Meter PDFM 5.0

Use a Greyline PDFM 5.0 Portable Doppler Flow Meter to monitor and balance flow, or to troubleshoot flow problems in closed pipes. It is ideal to evaluate performance of in-line flow meters and can be installed, calibrated and started-up in minutes. Use it for projects where a permanent flowmeter is not required or to temporarily replace installed flow transmitters.

The PDFM 5.0 ultrasonic sensor is strapped on the outside of a pipe. An acoustic pulse is reflected back to the sensor from particles or gases in the flowing liquid. The flow rate of any fluid can be measured as long as it contains air bubbles or solids. It is ideal for wastewater, slurries, sludge, and most chemicals, acids, caustics, and lubrication fluids.

Doppler Flow Meter DFM 5.1

Greyline Doppler Flow Meters monitor the flow rate of difficult liquids including: wastewater, chemicals, acids, slurries, abrasives and viscous liquids. Recommended for full pipes and any fluid that contains solids or bubbles.

The DFM 5.0 strap-on sensor is mounted on the outside of a plastic or metal pipe.To measure flow an acoustic signal is reflected back to the sensor from particles or gas bubbles in the fluid. Installation is easy – without shutting down the flow system. No contact is made with the moving fluid and no pipe cutting or drilling is required. There is no fouling or scale build-up on the sensor.

Doppler Flow Switch DFS5.1

Mount the DFS-5.1 ultrasonic sensor on the outside of metal or plastic pipes.

The sensor continuously injects high frequency sound through the pipe wall and into the moving fluid where acoustic pulses are reflected back to the sensor from particles or bubbles in the fluid.

Flow rates of most liquids can be accurately controlled including acids, caustics, lubrication fluids, chemicals, abrasives, waste water and sludge. There are no moving parts and no sensor maintenance is required.

The compact, water tight electronics enclosure includes adjustable controls with separate ON and OFF switch set-points, sensitivity and time delay. Indicator lights for signal strength and relay status are included. Installation can be made while the flow system is in full operation. No contact is made with the moving fluid and no holes are drilled in the pipe. There is no fouling or scale build-up on the sensor.
